Diagrams Guide for builders (v1.7)
How to access, create, and save the three types of diagrams introduced in v1.7: Solo Small Diagrams, Large Guild Diagrams, and Small Guild Diagrams.
Diagrams let you save and reuse constructions. v1.7 introduces three types depending on your context.

Accessing the Diagram tab
Open Construction mode (press F4 on PC), then enter Build mode (press B). The Diagram tab appears below the “Personal” tab.
There are 3 types of diagrams:
- Solo Small Diagrams — created in solo world, usable in guild bases too
- Large Guild Diagrams — full guild base snapshot
- Small Guild Diagrams — partial section of a guild base
All diagrams are tied to your character, not your guild. If you leave or join a different guild, your diagrams remain available.
Place and fill any small diagram [Solo + Guild]
- Select your diagram and choose Place.
- Once placed, move your character close to or inside the placed diagram. A popup will appear with your diagram name.
- Select your diagram name, then choose Auto Completion > Completion.
- The diagram fills automatically if you have enough components (solo) or guild funds (guild)
- The diagram outline can stay as-is, but removing any component from it will produce a blue ghost component. To get rid of the outline entirely, select Remove Diagram > Remove only diagram outline.
Create and use Solo Small Diagrams [Guild + Solo]
Found under the “Small Diagram” category in the Diagram tab.
These diagrams can only be created in Solo World, but can be applied in both solo world and guild bases. → How to save a diagram
Create and use Large Guild Diagrams [Guild only]
Found under the “Mine” category in the Diagram tab.
These diagrams save your entire guild base. Use them as full base backups or to share a complete layout. → How to save a diagram
Create and use Small Guild Diagrams [Guild only]
Found under the “Small Diagram - Mine” category in the Diagram tab.
These diagrams save a section of your guild base, useful for replicating parts of a construction. The maximum is 1,000 components.
How to save any diagram
The save process is the same for all diagram types:
1. In the Diagram tab, take a free slot. You enter diagram edit mode.
2. Choose the region you want to capture (does not apply to Large Guild Diagram)
3. Click “Leave”. A panel opens where you can set the Diagram Name, choose an image, icon, and add a note.
4. Click “Save & Exit” to confirm.
The choice between “Save & Exit” and “Leave directly” from the final modal makes no difference.
Understanding the Copyright system
Thanks to AegisNite Edge and Crueliet for their help figuring this out.
To save a diagram in both guild and solo base, you need to own at least 70% of the components in it, meaning you placed them yourself. If the Copyright Score is above 30%, you cannot save the diagram.
This can be a harsh limitation in collaborative builds. For example, if two builders split work 69% and 31%, neither of them can save the diagram since neither reaches the 70% threshold alone.
There is a workaround: add components you own directly inside the diagram area to raise your ownership percentage above the 70% threshold.
Advanced Tip for small diagram: Use Recommended Spot
This lets you place your small diagram more easily. As of now, small diagrams can be difficult to place. We consider this as a bug https://www.wherebuildersmeet.com/bugs/?bug=small-diagrams-placement-is-tedious. One solution is to use “Recommended Spot”.
Fix interactive components after applying a large guild diagram
After applying a large guild diagram, interactive components (chairs, beds, etc.) may stop working. This is a known bug.
To fix it: enter Construction mode, click Build (top right), then Build Management (bottom right), and select Clear Large Diagram Holograms.
If that button has no effect, it is likely because all your components are filled and there are no ghost (hologram) components left. This is also a second known issue. The workaround is to delete at least one component to create a ghost slot, then try Clear Large Diagram Holograms again.
